The Secret Cave in the foot of Mount Kailash

Mount Kailash, the Stairway to Heaven is the most intriguing mountain range in the whole Himalayas, so we thought of divulging some things that you might not know about it.

One of my friend who went for Kailash Yatra has told me this story,

Mountains, the most dramatic feature of the Earth, are considered by many religions as the mystical realms of the Divine, heaven, sages and spirits. At 22,000 feet above sea level, Mount Kailash is far from the highest mountain in western Tibet, but it sits alone and has a magical shape–four sides like a pyramid or the top of a diamond, covered in snow and ice. Resting in the mighty Himalayan range, towards the south-western part of Tibet, and forming the border to the Kumaon Hills and Nepal, lies the legendary Mount Kailash. With an impressive height of 6714m, Mount Kailash lies deep in the womb of eight valleys, forming a shape of the eight-petalled lotus. It is often referred to as the “Olympus Central Asia”.

Mount Kailash, which means “precious jewel of eternal snow” There is a cave in the foot of Mount Kailash that might be hundreds of miles long. Yogis in ancient times are said to have taken samadhi there and practised meditation. Several human bones have been found within a hundred-metre depth of the cave. On the entrance of the cave, you can hear some faint music whose audibility raises you to go further inside. It is some sort of naad consisting of tabla, damroo, war horn. The sources of all these sounds haven’t been found yet. Another secret related to Mount Kailash pertains to the rapid ageing of those who are near it. Taking into consideration, for example, the growth of hair and nails, it can appropriately be assumed that the 12 hours spent near Kailash is equal to two weeks in normal conditions!

Surprisingly the oxygen level is better inside the cave than the outside and it has an alien smell which the researchers are still not able to recognise. The temperature inside the cave increases like any other cave and a couple of hundred metres, the temperature becomes unbearable thus limiting a human body to go much deeper. You feel a strange vibration in your body as you go inside. All your senses start working abnormally. You have a strange vision if you close your eyes. A sensation like weightlessness as if gravity is decreasing or has become like that of a moon.

A lot of research has been done to get an explanation for the strangeness of the cave but still no valid outcome. All the probes, robots, and drones sent inside cannot go beyond some point due to heat and twisted magnetism inside the cave. This cave has more magnetism power than other caves near Mount Kailash. The cave changes the way a human acts afterwards in life thus the entrance has been sealed with camouflage rock doors. But early pictures are available. Kailash might not be in India but still, people here can connect to it. So this is one of the greatest unsolved mysteries and well-kept secrets. It is said that Mount Kailash changes its position regularly.
